Music Unity for Mental Health is a not-for-profit organization based in Chelmsford, Essex, UK, that uses the power of music to help people with their mental health and wellbeing. They do this by holding music events online and in venues, as well as other projects such as DJ/music workshops. Music Unity for Mental Health believes that music can be a powerful tool for promoting positive mental health. Music can help to reduce stress, improve mood, boost self-esteem, and provide a sense of community. It can also be a way to express oneself and process difficult emotions. The organization's events are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to everyone, regardless of their musical experience or background. They offer a variety of different activities, such as DJing, live music, and music production workshops. Their events are also a great opportunity to meet other people who are interested in music and mental health. In addition to their events, Music Unity for Mental Health also runs a number of other projects and initiatives to raise awareness of mental health and promote positive wellbeing through music. For example, funds raised through the events help to provide DJ/Music Workshops and also they run an annual World Mental Health Day and National Mental Health Week awareness campaign, where they invite DJs to share exclusive mixes to help highlight the importance of music for mental health. Music Unity for Mental Health is a valuable resource for people who are struggling with their mental health. It provides a safe and supportive space for people to come together, enjoy music, and by having that added wellbeing layer to every event means EVERYONE gets to learn more about mental health. Here are some examples of how Music Unity for Mental Health is using music to promote positive mental health: --Hosting music events where people can come together to enjoy music and connect with others.-- --Offering DJ/music production workshops to help people learn new skills and express themselves creatively.-- --Running mental health awareness campaigns that use music to highlight the importance of mental health.-- --Providing a supportive community for people who are struggling with their mental health.-- Music Unity for Mental Health is a great example of how music can be used to make a positive difference in people's lives. https://musicunityformentalhealth.co.uk/
Back in October we ran our annual awareness campaign where we invite DJs of any experience and ability to share an exclusive mix with us. Then all week long we feature them to continue the awareness to Mental Health and highlight how important and helpful it is to our wellbeing to try something musical. Whether that be DJing, Music production or even learning to play an instrument.
This year we had 9 awesome DJs who helped us raise that awareness and share their talents with everyone. Those DJs were;
ADAM TAYLOR / LUKE HAYDON / JAMES BLACK / SYSTEM A / SLIPCODE / PHD / JIMSQUARED / DAN COOPER / DAVEY ASPREY / JOHN SPIDER
HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF THEM FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND WORKING WITH US ON THIS YEARS WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN.

Our 2nd FREE Beginner DJ workshop hosted by On The Rise DJ Academy in Wembley, London.
Once again it was an awesome day of fun and creativity where 5 more students completed their first ever workshop.
They should be super proud of what they achieved...We sure are proud of them. :)
Despite the rail strike we managed to still have 3 attendees for the first ever Music Unity For Mental Health DJ Workshop hosted by On The Rise DJ Academy in London on the 25th June. We didn't expect all 8 to make it but the 3 that did, came by car. It was a fantastic afternoon if music and everyone found the workshop to be great and by the end were talking about booking one on one lessons with Terry.
A huge thank you to Terry and On The Rise for hosting our first ever DJ Workshops today, it was so good to finally launch them and we have already sorted the next date which will be announced soon
Thanks again to everyone for your support and encouragement. As always, without the kindness of others, this would not be possible.
On The Rise DJ Academy

We just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it along to Emotional Response - The Winter Warmer Daytime Trance Party at Egg London on the 4th December 2021.
What an awesome day of music, love, awareness, and kindness.
The atmosphere was electric, the happy, friendly vibe that was all around the venue is exactly what we want at our events and you all brought that with you.
The feedback so far has been pretty overwhelming and having you guys talk about the added little touches we added around the venue has made our day...and those who said it felt like the 90s vibe really does mean we are getting it right ;)
It was fantastic to see clubbers, DJs all mingling and chatting...That's what we like to see...Music Unity :) Even the EGG staff and security said how much they loved the vibe and the music. And about those DJs...They delivered...again...absolutely incredible sets from all of them...We don't ask DJs to warm up, this is their platform to show us all what they can do, and right from the start, they went for it :D.We even had some comments during the day that it's so good DJs are free to show what they can do without any restrictions. So thank you to all of them for giving up their time once again to give us an amazing day of music and help raise awareness for the cause...All legends in our book :) Please check out the live sets below or in the LIVE SET section of the website or go to our Mixcloud using the link at the top of this page.
Also a massive thank you to all of the volunteers on the day, giving up your time and helping us means the world and without you, there would be no way any of this could happen as smoothly as it does on the day. You are all stars and so be proud of your efforts on the event.
Special thank you to EGG London for looking after us again, The bar staff, the security once again were great.
The planning and getting to the day of an event isn't always easy but we know once we are inside EGG, we're in good hands. And we went to 11PM too :)
Special mention to Hans and Lucy at EGG LONDON for their support also on the day and leading up to the event.
We have lots of official photos and an after-movie coming soon so keep a lookout. and we have taken a lot of videos and photos too.
We're off to now work on our first proper Reflective Frequencies Techno event now with details coming soon. But be sure details of the next Emotional Response Trance Party will be announced soon. We hope to see you all back for more of the same. Love, Kindness, awareness, and miles and miles of smiles.
KEEP MAKING LOTS OF NOISE AND MAKING A DIFFERENCE with us because we couldn't do it without any of you :)
